Dr. Brittany Reid-phillips
Coach "Doc" hails from Rowlett, TX and boasts an impressive resume of diverse throwing experience. As a former thrower, Dr. BRP competed in all throwing disciplines--Shot Put, Discus, Hammer, Javelin, and Weight Throw. She brings the knowledge, experience, and skills necessary to provide guidance and instill confidence in her throwing athletes in all throwing specialties.
At Coffeyville Community College, Dr. BRP earned NJCAA Shot Put Indoor All-American honors and outdoor All-American honors in the Hammer Throw. ​Following her stint at Coffeyville, Dr. BRP transferred to Coastal Carolina where she was a seven-time Big South All-Conference honoree--including two-time conference champion and set the Big South championship meet record in the Discus. ​Additionally, Coach Doc was a medal winner in the Discus at the prestigious Penn Relays. During her time at Coastal Carolina, she served as a co-team captain and contributed to CCU winning the triple crown 3 times and earned 5 NCAA D1 championship rings. Dr. BRP was named to the Big South Conference Track and Field All-Decade Team (2000-2010) for her athletic accomplishments.

More than a coach, Dr. BRP uniquely pairs her throwing prowess with her deep background in education to provide a very detail-oriented, thought-provoking approach to coaching. She challenges her athletes to draw deeper connections to their throwing by creating relatable parallels and strategies which help move the needle in seeing results.

Coach D
Dan Dolce is the founder and visionary behind Flight Academy. As a two sport Division I athlete, Coach D expands his reputation for patience, grit, and a highly skilled eye for small details to the throwing coach world. He has a knack for being able to pull results out of athletes and maximizing their potential. A state champion Discus Thrower and accomplished football standout, Coach D is no stranger to the hard work, commitment, and mental stamina needed to succeed as a thrower and overall athlete.

Coach D has helped his throwing athletes reach the UIL State Meet in the Shot Put, achieve success in the AAU ranks in Shot, Discus, and Javelin, as well as successfully coached a rising paralympic athlete to two gold medals (Shot Put & Javelin) at the Move United Junior Nationals.
